Especially to first time visitors, Japan really may look all colorful, cute, sweet and at the same time strident, crazy…often just “kawaii,” at least to Western standards.

Examples? Alright, here we go.

Took this one in Kobe. You finally want to dine with class and style? Forget those overpriced 3-star restaurants, simply buy yourself the “Altbayern” sausages and just like this distinguished guy in the tuxedo, have a classy dinner on your own.

If you´re visiting a Japanese castle, you should refrain from smoking…

As we all know by now, smoking is not only unhealthy but may also cause you to…uhm…well…stop smoking, please.

The deer in Nara are obvisously trained ninja assassins, so take care, they might knock you out. Forget Tekken, this is the Iron Antler Tournament…

Almost a legend by now: the signposts on Itsukushima. However, this just once more proves Einstein´s theories of relativity. When it comes to accelerated masses, time is to be considered relative.

The tap…man….for sure…uhm…strong and….energy-ridden. Still waiting for becoming the newest member of the Justice League. The design though. However, I am almost positive it will also remind you of a tap.

I´m not so sure…but just to be on the safe side, I wouldn´t recommend you to walk past this sign.

Speaking of signs, they put up those posters in my neighbourhood. A friend of mine was scared by the fact that these days, keyhole monsters start to arm themselves up. Just really glad the neighbourhood watch took care of it.

Some people really need manners….especially when riding a bicycle in a city such as Tokyo….now I realize what I did wrong all the time. Better late than never.

But in fact there´s plenty of gaccha…I mean “choice” if you need a new keychain or memorabilia…we all do know that sudden urge to buy a fish keychain, don´t we?

You gotta love those Japanese inventions. I can´t imagine my life anymore without having those water heated shoes. For only 14700 Yen (130$) a bargain.

Thanks, but I do wonder why it is necessary to put up those signs in the first place. Just not think about it…

Speaking of signs, found this one at the airport. Too bad I can´t gargle Beethoven´s Symphony No. 9 in public anymore -_-.

What a cute way to get your Keio Line ticket. Hope pushing his buttons won´t trigger the rise of the machines, but on the other hand he seems to be really friendly.
